Wishing you all the best this holiday season and a healthy, happy 2019 for you and your loved ones!
‘Twas the night before Christmas
And all through the world,
The people were waiting
For Santa’s plans to unfold
The Reindeer were feeding,
Santa’s suit pressed and cleaned,
But the sleigh sat empty
Not a present to be seen.
Santa looked out in horror
At the elves in disarray,
All pleading and yelling
‘HEY GOOGLE.. LOAD…SLEIGH’
Stop all this tech nonsense
Just read the kids letters,
Lists and sincere wishes,
That for them, really matter.
There’s one from a Donald
Demanding Lego blocks, big and small,
Ha. Not America. Not Mexico,
But Santa builds the wall.
Don’s list goes on and on
With demands a little deranged,
He wants single use.. plastic?
What, with no such thing as climate change.
But Rudolph and friends know better,
Winter’s warming, they take note,
Sadly, the sleigh needs updating,
Ski runners replaced with water floats.
But wait, there’s 9 reindeer
One Ivanoff causing confusion,
He’s leading us direct east
Shouting ‘No Collusion’, ‘No Collusion’
Let’s head to the west,
As a team we must regroup,
The kids in Toronto
Need more pucks and high hoops
For years we’ve delivered
To those playing in the streets,
And finally our mission
Is creating winning athletes
But look at the requests
That come from our readers,
Some from little ones
And some from big leaders.
Who is this Doug Ford?
Wanting the schools to deploy
Of magazines with titles
Such as Esquire and Playboy.
There’s a request for a pipeline
From a fellow named Justin,
Constructed of glass
Because it must remain hidden.
Now remember this is Christmas,
And forget all the strife,
No matter what’s happening
We owe all kids a life.
To the children in camps,
And those in the caravan,
They all deserve a miracle
To believe in our land.
So with that, I wish you Merry Christmas
And a very Happy New Year,
Don’t forget to make it count,
Spread kindness, love and cheer.
